Corpus Christi comes on the Thursday after the eighth Sunday after Easter, which means 60 days after Easter.
It celebrates the Catholic belief that the bread of communion is changed into the body of Christ, and the wine into his blood, at the words of an ordained Catholic priest and that eating this body and blood has real spiritual benefit.
