New Year’s Day 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Saint Barthélemy
Saint Barthélemy celebrates New Year’s Day with a public holiday every 1 January, as does most of the rest of the world. However, the celebrations really begin on New Year’s Eve and reach a high point with the turning of the clock from 11:59pm on 31 December to midnight on 1 January.

New Year’s Day is a time of resolutions and starting fresh for some, while for others it is spent recovering from a big, late night spent with friends and family.
The festive season really begins in Saint Barts at Christmas time. There is a Christmas village in Gustavia and a Christmas parade. The week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve maintains a festive air.
On New Year’s Eve, there is a sailboat regatta and race all the way around the island. It sets out on the morning of 31 December and draws many spectators both local and tourist. There are many New Year’s Eve galas at local hotels, and fireworks explode in the sky at midnight in Gustavia and elsewhere.
Later in January, there are further celebrations for Epiphany on 6 January and during the Saint Barth Music Festival.
