Christmas here is warm and sunny instead of cold and bleak as in other parts of the world. The streets are bustling with life, not covered in snow. Palm trees are more likely to be decked out with Christmas lights than pines.
In Saint Barthélemy, there are three official holidays at the end of December: December Solstice on 21 December, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. Boxing day comes on 26 December is often called “Second Christmas”.
One of the main seasonal attractions on Saint Barthélemy is the Christmas village in Gustavia. In fact, this seaside port is a centre of Christmas activities, including kids’ parades, costume competitions, Christmas markets and street foods, and a place to meet with Old Saint Nick.
