Labour Day 2027 and 2028 in Nicaragua
Nicaragua celebrates Labour Day on 1 May every year as a national public holiday. Labour Day is designed as a day on which to honour all working men and women for their labours and to highlight any additional progress that may be needed in the area of workers’ rights.
In 2027, Labour Day falls on Saturday 1 May. The holiday will be on Monday 1 May in 2028.

It is common for there to be major workers’ rallies, protests, and parades on Labour Day. Many times, political leaders will give speeches on this day and promise improvements in working conditions or related matters.
Labour Day is also full of exciting sporting events. In Nicaragua, the most popular sports are baseball, soccer, and boxing. The beach shores are full for Labour Day Weekend as many try to get the most out of their day off. Many also have cook-outs or picnics with family and friends.
