New Year’s Day 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Grenada
Grenada celebrates New Year’s Day with a public holiday every 1 January, as does most of the rest of the world. However, the celebrations really begin on New Year’s Eve and reach a high point with the turning of the clock from 11:59pm on 31 December to midnight on 1 January.

New Year’s Day is a time of resolutions and starting fresh for some, while for others it is spent recovering from a big, late night spent with friends and family.
Most families have a special time together at home and invite friends and relatives to a party or go to one themselves. It’s customary to watch the clock till midnight and shout and cheer when the new year finally arrives.
Some families go to the beach this time of year to swim and to cook. Camping at the beach for several days on end is also not uncommon. The warmer weather year-round in Grenada’s tropical climate allows for more outdoor activities on or around New Year’s Day.
